Projects: AllScripts EMR Deployment / Citrix Consulting Services / Managed IT Services
South Sunflower County Hospital needed to network three hospital buildings and establish Microsoft Windows Active Directory for computer authentication and file and print services. Sunflower also desired to implement Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in order to streamline its operations and meet HIPAA requirements. Sunflower’s goals included delivery of multiple business and medical applications to a diverse workforce within and outside the hospital campus. Sunflower’s requirements included the security of the newly implemented infrastructure from outside intrusion.
IntelliSuite designed the network using fiber optics media to link all three buildings required to be networked. IntelliSuite designed and implemented Windows 2003 Active Directory with file and print services. To enable application access within and outside the hospital campus, IntelliSuite deployed Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server and used Citrix Secure Gateway Services to secure the applications. IntelliSuite web-enabled the virtual experience with Citrix Web Interface.
With the implementation, authorized employees and physicians are able to gain secure access to all medical applications and information regardless of geographic location.
South Sunflower subsequently retained IntelliSuite to provide on-going management of its IT infrastructure.
