Projects: Epic Clinical Suite Deployment / Citrix Consulting Services / Managed Services for Citrix
University of Chicago Hospitals (UCH) needed to deploy Epic Clinical Suite of Applications to 750 concurrent users within 5 months of project start, and to 1,500 concurrent users within 4 months of successful rollout to the first group. UCH selected IntelliSuite Technologies for Project Management and Technical Implementation.
IntelliSuite met project management goals by gathering requirements for the project; assisting with infrastructure discovery; creating design documents; and creating a detailed project plan. IntelliSuite ensured that resources assigned to the project were optimized to deliver the project on time and on budget.
With approval of the project plan, IntelliSuite met the technical objectives by successfully installing and configuring the application hosting and deployment infrastructure, using 25 Citrix Presentation 3.0 Servers on Windows Server 2003; 4 Web Interface Servers; 4 Citrix Data Collectors; and 2 Citrix Access Gateway devices.
IntelliSuite documented the entire process, created administrative documentation and trained UCH employees to take over and manage the platform. IntelliSuite created help desk training manuals and provided presentations to hospital employee groups to set expectations for the project rollout.
UCH subsequently signed an agreement with IntelliSuite to provide Managed Services for its Citrix infrastructure.
